Sew and Tell 1_5_2021 (1).pdf

March 2020

Diane Harris was our guest speaker and she presented 130 different quilts and shared do's and don'ts as well as great stories. Here are a few that caught my eye.

An original design, very colorful.

A wonderful block for a row quilt

that she did as an exchange - turns out her recipent wasn't Christian and

gave it back to her. Delightful !

This quilt is made from

handkerchiefs and lace.

Carol, while holding the quilt up, commented that this quilt was very heavy. It's made of small squares of fabric that are folded and then attached.

A close-up of the quilt.

This is raw edge applique - probably cut with a ruffled edge blade and then quilted. This was a quilt Diane purchased.

Another of Diane's quilts.

I love the colors and design

SHOW AND TELL

Kathleen has a yearly challenge for the Sew Fun Bee group in Pukalani. This year the challenge was to make a round robin quilt based on 3 different center blocks. These 3 quilts were donated to Yellow Ribbon.
