Everyone who participates as a pal, fills out a profile sheet(which is made available at the guild meeting)then they are randomly matched with someone on the list. These lists are mailed to each of you by the chairperson prior to the new year. Each pal makes or purchases small gifts for their pal based on answers from her profile sheet and if she knows that person, all the better for her to make selections.  More ideas can be had by making yourself known to your pal(secretly) speaking with her or sitting by her and getting to know some things she likes or dislikes. It is a good way to meet people you don't know or get to know them better.You can also remember their birthday or a special holiday with a theme gift. At the December guild meeting, we all make something special for the person you are giving to as well as the person who is giving to you and we reveal our Secret Pal at that time. It is a lot of fun and I have participated and made new friends in the process. Hope you will consider being a Secret Pal next year and if the need arises for a new pal for the current year, let it be known to the chairperson that you are interested in stepping in to fill a void.
